National STOMP! Out Epilepsy and SUDEP Awareness Walk

The 5th Annual STOMP! Out Epilepsy and SUDEP (formerly Chelsea’s Epilepsy Walk for SUDEP Awareness) Walk/Run will take place throughout the month of September in Missouri, Texas, Virginia, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, and even online for virtual walkers. This fundraiser event helps provide grants for fully-trained seizure-response dogs for people dealing with epilepsy and seizure-related illnesses. These trained service dogs may be able to detect an oncoming seizure and provide warnings and/or respond after the onset of a seizure.

10 families win trips to Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland Resort

On July 16, 2014, ten families dealing with epilepsy or seizure-related illnesses were awarded all-expense paid trips to the 2014 Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland on November 5- 7, 2014, compliments of The Chelsea Hutchison Foundation and an anonymous donor. Nominees were gathered through the Chelsea Hutchison Foundation, and winners were selected through a random draw.

Registration for Comedy for Canines closes Midnight April 30th.

On, May 2, 2014, the Chelsea Hutchison Foundation will hold its annual gala at The Curtis Ballroom located at Comedy Works South in Greenwood Village, CO. This year, our theme is Comedy for Canines and our headliner for the evening will be Kevin Fitzgerald, best known for his 10 seasons on the popular Animal Planet show, Emergency Vets. Kevin is a great comedian and his passion for making people laugh is surpassed only by his unwavering dedication to all creatures great and small. We feel this is a wonderful match!

Chelsea Hutchison Foundation and JoshProvides Epilepsy Assistance Foundation Join Forces

The Chelsea Hutchison Foundation and the JoshProvides Epilepsy Assistance Foundation (www.joshprovides.org) are proud to announce their collaboration in funding the purchase of seizure response dogs for qualified applicants. JoshProvides is honored to be asked to participate and assist the Chelsea Hutchison Foundation in this endeavor. The Chelsea Hutchison Foundation has assisted in the purchase of over 58 seizure response dogs in addition to providing grants for medical devices.

Chelsea's Epilepsy Walk was a wonderful success!

Thank you to everyone who participated in Chelsea's Walk. With sponsors, volunteers and walkers, it is estimated that we had in excess of 800 walking with us this year.

CHF is sending (2) Deserving Families to Disneyland for Epilepsy Awareness Day

On September 22nd at Chelsea's Epilepsy Walk for SUDEP Awareness in Littleton, CO, CHF drew the names of two families who were nominated to receive a trip to Disneyland for Epilepsy Awareness Day on November 7, 2013. This was made possible by a very generous anonymous donor. Each family will receive airfare, accommodations, tickets to Disneyland on November 7th and a $500 Disney Gift Card. The luck Winners were the Petrucci family of Windsor, Colorado and the Wilhelmi family of Waco, Texas.
